A crypto wallet is a digital tool that lets you store, send, and receive cryptocurrencies like SOL (Solana). It also acts as your digital identity on TradeVerse — your wallet address is how buyers and sellers identify you. We recommend using Phantom Wallet, a popular and user-friendly Solana wallet available as a browser extension and mobile app.
After installation, you'll have a wallet address starting with a Solana public key (e.g., Gx8...). This is your public identifier on the blockchain.
You only need to connect once. TradeVerse uses a read-only connection to verify your identity — all transactions require your explicit approval in Phantom.
If you are browsing TradeVerse on your phone, install the Phantom mobile app from the App Store or Google Play. When you connect your wallet on mobile, TradeVerse uses Mobile Wallet Adapter (MWA) to communicate with Phantom seamlessly.
Your wallet plays a central role in the escrow system. When you purchase an item, funds are sent from your wallet to a secure escrow program on the Solana blockchain.
The seller can see that funds are deposited but cannot access them until you confirm receipt. This protects both parties during the transaction.
You will be prompted to approve each step in Phantom — funding escrow, confirming delivery, or resolving disputes. No one can move your funds without your signature.
